Improving

We have had some good news.  Amelia's blood counts have improved and are the highest they have been in a number of months.  Her white counts are way up, so much so the docs would be concerned about her being sick if she was not getting meds to raise the counts.  Her platelets are up above 50 as well.  She has not had platelets this high since our Oct / Nov visit, and even then it was only for a few days near the end of our stay.

She has been running around the house and having a GREAT time, so we are very excited to see her improvements.  It is so awesome to see her running and having a good time!

On a side note,Wesley is now mobile.  He started crawling the week after discharge.  Amelia loves it because he chases her around the house now.

Ups and Downs

We had a good weekend watching the #1 defence score more points than the #1 offence in the Super Bowl.  We have been trying to get our house back in order too.  Can you believe there are still Christmas decorations up???

At Amelia's clinical appointment on Monday, her white counts were way up.  However, she had more blood work today and her platelets are really low...lower than they have been in a number of weeks.  She is running around the house like the day will never end, so she is feeling really well.

We continue to pray for blood counts and that she stays healthy.  Unfortunately, we are on contact precautions and can't do much because of Amelia's white counts.

About To Walk Out

After getting one blood transfusion, an antibiotic and removing Amelia's PICC line, we are about to head home...hopefully for a few months until we can reverse her colostomy.

We pray Amelia will stay healthy, eeat and grow and not head back to the hospital for anything other than clinicals for several months.
